A Break for Tea and Cake
Our first social event of 2014 was a resounding success. Around 25 allotmenteers, partners and children stopped work for a cuppa and a chat on a beautiful Bank Holiday Monday afternoon.
We enjoyed cold drinks, freshly brewed tea, cake, biscuits and homemade American brownies. It was such a pleasure to gather in the sunshine and greet old friends and welcome new members to the allotments.
The get-together was organised by our new Social Secretary, Sarah, who provided most of the refreshments and also the camping stove used to heat water for the hot drinks. A big thank-you to Sarah for providing us with the opportunity for such a lovely interlude.
