Make your own Pesticide

Yet another great use for Rhubarb.

There is plenty of Rhubarb around at the moment, and whilst you will only be eating the stems, the leaves can be used to make an effective natural pesticide.

You will need a large tub or small barrel with a secure lid. Fill it with water and chuck in a few Rhubarb leaves.

After a couple of days you can use the liquid in your watering can to douse any plants which show signs of being attacked. It works on just about everything.

Replenish your water/leaves as required. Before the rhubarb season finishes make sure you have a good supply for the summer months ahead.

As the Rhubarb leaves are slightly toxic do make sure that your concoction is out of the reach of curious children.
