A Timely Reminder & Other News

A quick reminder that allotment rent is due to be paid to the Parish Council by the end of December. Invoices went out earlier than usual this year at the request of the Allotment Association Committee. Not only is it stated in the Tenancy Agreement, but it makes it easier and quicker to re-let a plot where the rent has not been received by 1st January. If you are intending to give up a plot or part-plot in 2015, please let both the Council Rep and a Committee member know as soon as possible.

Just to let everybody know, plot 14B is now vacant as Linda and Rachel have moved to live in Williton. Linda said, "We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the committee for all your hard work. We have enjoyed our plot and it has motivated us to buy a house with a bigger garden (third of an acre) so we can grow our own fruit and veg at home." We are sorry to see Linda and Rachel go but wish them all the very best.

There are now several plots available to rent as we go into the New Year so if you know or hear of anyone thinking about an allotment, point them towards the contact details page of the blog.

Finally, on behalf of both the Association Committee and the blog site administrators, we would like to wish a Happy New Year to everyone at Plain Pond Allotments and also to all our readers worldwide. Best wishes to you all in 2015!
