Going for Green

Having recently taken on a plot, I've mostly been digging out the couch grass. I then noticed that the shed roof was leaking, so I found some plastic at home (the wrapping from a spare bed mattress we'd just bought) and put that over the top.

Needing something to weight it down, my gaze fell on the rough grass I had just cleared from the edges of the plot. It was all held together with some old weed-supressing material, so almost as good as turf. I put it on top of the shed roof - and problem solved - I now have a green roof for my shed, although in the fullness of time I expect I will replace it with a new felt roof.
