Giant Garlic!

Look at this for garlic! They look more like giant leeks but with bulbs the size of a fist. I sowed these on the shortest day last year and harvested them on the longest this year.

They were from cloves I'd kept from the previous year, originally bought as elephant garlic cloves but disappointing in the first year, when they bolted. Now, I'm pleased that I saved the cloves and had another go.

So far, everything I sowed last year has performed really well - broad beans and garlic particularly. I must have sown them at just the right time - or had a magic touch.
