News from Plot One

You have all probably noticed by now that Plot 1 has been receiving a much-needed makeover. Ruth, and her sister Miriam (Mim), both of whom many of you know, have taken on the plot - initially on a trial basis to make sure they can manage it.

They have made excellent progress in the first month and say they are really enjoying it. Taking on an overgrown allotment is not for the faint-hearted, especially a full-size plot. Luckily, the girls have plenty of helpers as well as tons of enthusiasm.

Ruth said, "The other plot-holders at Plain Pond have been really supportive and nice - giving us plants and stopping by to offer praise and encouragement." She went on to add, "Mims has had a couple of 'Charlie Dimmock' moments!" (We are quite sure however that this is not the reason the girls have been receiving so much attention.)

Ruth has been waiting for an allotment for some time and had always liked plot 1 so it was a perfect match when it became available. On behalf of everyone at Plain Ponds we would like to extend a warm welcome to Ruth and Mim and wish them every success with their new plot.
