Top Tip - Grass String

This week we have a fantastic tip for getting your climbing beans started using just a stalk of grass.

Climbing beans always do better once they have attached themselves to a support. The recent winds have seen them taking a right battering so it's time for a little gentle assistance.

Like all good tips, this one is astonishingly simple. Just select a stalk of soft grass from the edge of your plot and use it to carefully tie the bean to the cane. By the time the grass has died and fallen away the bean will be happily climbing and able to support itself. No string required!

Big thanks to Brian for sharing this wonderful tip with us.
