Wild About Bees!
The theme of this years 'Wild About Gardens Week' is bees! We all love bees: they pollinate our flowers, fruit and vegetables, and the sound of busy bees at work is a quintessential English summer delight.
One of the saddest sights we saw this year was twenty or so bees drowned in a container of water on somebody's plot. Bees need to drink, so provide them with a shallow dish or a sunken pot with a stone in it so they can reach the water safely - and please don't leave buckets or containers half full of water on your plots.
