End of an Era?

We bid a sad farewell this month to Walt, our oldest plot-holder. A stalwart of the allotments, Walt, aged 90, was one of a handful of plot-holders who, for several years, cultivated two full-sized plots on his own, helping to keep the site viable. Lately he has been content with a half-plot and his garden at home, but has now made the difficult decision to give up his allotment.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Walt for his dedication to the allotment site over so many years, and for all the sage advice and wisdom he has imparted during that time. We join in wishing him all the best and he can be assured of a warm welcome if he wishes to come and visit!
